Go Tell It On The Mountain is presented by Christians for the Mountains. This blog addresses issues relating to Mountain Top Removal coal mining and other problems that arise due to the reckless destruction of God’s creation. Take a stand! Rise up for the preservation of the Appalachian Mountains, the well being of it’s inhabitants, it’s environment, and the heritage that has been associated with these hills for countless generations. For more information on our organization and how you can get involved please visit www.christiansforthemountains.org or contact me at rebekah@christiansforthemountains.org
“I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.”

For Rebecka:
Your friends, Jim and Polly Cushman, brought you to my attention.
We are a small group who worship at
Trinity Presbyterian Church in
Harrisonburg, VA. We have formed
a covenant to meet as Restoring
Creation House Church (I think we are in our tenth year). One of our missions is to support those who oppose mountain top removal; another is to remove the grand father clauses permitting the burning of coal in outdated power plants which could be eequipped with more modern, safer, cleaner eequipment.
We wish you the best for this year of dedication. Add us to your contact list and please give us guidance towards becoming better stewards of God’s Creation.
Bill (for RCHC).
